As a fisherman, I feel a responsibility to protect and preserve the environment and wildlife that bring so much joy to my life. As an artist, I feel a responsibility to say something when I see how we are compromising our environment by being careless about how we dispose of trash. My new work speaks to this by highlighting the striking contrast between the natural beauty of the trout, and the ugliness of the plastic bags and garbage that will ultimately be its demise.
